Online bookmaker Luxbet is set to close with Tabcorp consolidating its wagering business following the $11 billion merger with Tatts Group.

In August, Tabcorp Holdings Limited (Tabcorp) announced it was undertaking a strategic review of its Luxbet business.The review has determined that Luxbet is no longer aligned with the long-term strategic interests of Tabcorp and as a result, Luxbet will be closed.

This means, from 8am on Friday 22 December 2017, you will no longer be able to deposit or place any bets via your Luxbet account, but you will still be able to withdraw available funds, view your details and past transactions.

If you have unresulted bets as at 8am on Friday 22 December 2017, you will be refunded the greater of your stake or the cash out value (subject to availability).

  3. When will the Luxbet website be shut down?
  4. All betting will cease on the Luxbet website, mobi and app from 8:00am (AEDST) on Friday, 22 December 2017.

  5. How do I withdraw my funds from my account?
  6. To remove funds from your account please withdraw online via your account or call our Customer Service Centre on 1300 589 238. You have until 19 January 2018 to withdraw your balance and close your account.

  7. What happens if I do not withdraw from my account?
  8. If you do not withdraw any remaining balance from your account as at 19 January 2018, you will still be able to contact our Customer Service Centre on 1300 589 238.

  9. I cannot withdraw because I haven’t confirmed my identity. What do I do?
  10. You will need to verify your identity in order to be able to withdraw any account balance.

  11. What happens to my pending bets?
  12. If you have unresulted bets as at 8am on Friday 22 December 2017, you will be refunded the greater of your stake or the cash out value (subject to availability).

  13. What will happen to my Bonus Bets?
  14. If you have available bonus bets, they will need to be turned over by 22 December 2017. If they are not turned over during this time they will be cancelled.

  15. What happens to my multi that is active past 22 December 2017?
  16. If you have unresulted bets as at 8am on Friday 22 December 2017, you will be refunded the greater of your stake or the cash out value (subject to availability).
